Waste Management is apologizing to about five-thousand Grass Valley and Nevada City residents for missing their garbage pickup today…
Spokesman Paul Rosynsky says even if the part doesn’t arrive or can’t be installed in time, they do have a contingency plan to fuel the trucks. Those whose trash day is Wednesday will have their garbage picked up on Saturday. Residents who normally put their trash out for Thursday pickup should do so, and things will be back to normal. Rosynsky says these kind of failures don’t happen very often–it’s just one of those things…
If Wednesday is your pickup day, and you can’t wait until Saturday, dumpsters have been set up in Mautino Park and Condon Park in Grass Valley, and Pioneer Park and the Nevada Street Parking Lot in Nevada City.
