Treasurer/Tax Collector to Share Energy Efficiency Retrofit Plan for Residents and Businesses

Nevada County is exploring an opportunity to provide low interest loans for energy-efficient retrofitting projects to existing residences and businesses. Treasurer-Tax Collector Tina Vernon says the PACE program was established in 2008.

Vernon says that the program is a win-win-win for homeowners, local contractors, and the county.

The program is in its early stages and is being conducted in partnership with Placer County. Vernon does not expect the program to roll out any sooner than the fall of this year.
