Tree Removal Work Begins Along Highway 20

CalTrans spokesman Gilbert Mohtes-Chan says the work begins today between Willow Valley and Yuba Pass. They’ll also be working along Interstate 80 between Magra and Kingvale. Mohtes-Chan says in addition to clearing out the trees to eradicate a possible fire threat, he says those trees can be dangerous…

There will be about 15-hundred trees removed, clearing a section a hundred feet from the highway. Weather permitting, the work should be completed by November.
