It’s happened before, and it’s happened again. Nevada City Police Chief Tim Foley says the Tri Counties Bank was robbed late this morning (Friday)…
Foley says tellers are trained not to resist, although Foley says it was not immediately apparent that the suspect was armed. The man is described as a white male, five-foot-eight to five-foot-eleven. At the time, Foley says he was wearing a blue or ‘denim-ish’ mechanics-type suit with long sleeves and long pants. He also had a black and maroon striped hoodie pulled over his head, also a black baseball cap and was wearing sunglasses. He walked out of the bank and fled on foot up Prospect Street. Foley says its too early to tell if the robbery is connected to a couple of incidents the bank has had before…
The bank was closed for the remainder of the day. No one was hurt. Anyone with any information is asked to call the Nevada City Police Department, or the F-B-I.
