The tentative trial date is August 14th. Mcilhenny was also convicted of a hate crime in 2002 and served 9 months in jail. Authorities say he, and two other men, yelled racial slurs, as they drove by an African-American couple waiting for a bus in Grass Valley. They also threw wet sunflower seed shells at them and barely missed the wife’s head with an unopened can.
