Truck Goes Offroad on 174

A driver of a truck over corrected after he ran off Highway 174 east of Grass Valley, Friday morning. CHP Public Information Officer Marc Morrison says the driver was west bound on the highway near Greenhorn Access when he ran off the road and over-corrected turning the steering wheel to sharply to the left. This action caused the 2001 Freightliner truck to cross over the oncoming lanes.

The driver was taken to Sierra Nevada hospital for treatment of facial lacerations. The accident remains under investigation.
