Truck Oversized Load Strikes Hwy 49 Power Line

Tassone says that caused one of the portions to disconnect and wrap around the line. And that caused some shorting which also sparked a small vegetation fire that was contained to about one-fourth of an acre. Tassone says it doesn’t sound like the driver was at fault…

Tassone says there was only minor damage to AT and T equipment, with no service disruptions. But traffic was backed up in the area for about an hour. There were no injuries.
