Turkey Trot Is More than Just a Run

Runners and walkers from throughout the county turned out to support the 7th Annual Mike Bratton II Turkey Trot Thanksgiving morning. The benefit event supports Anew Day Counseling Center as well as numerous programs at Nevada Union High School. The Turkey Trot is also kind of like the unofficial reunion event for students attending college out of town and family members that are visiting for the Thanksgiving holidays. Long time community member, high school teacher and coach, Jeff Dellis, says it is a great time to see old students and old friends.

Dellis says the Turkey Trot is also a way to give back to one of the biggest supporters of the high school and our community.  There is no greater supporter than Mike Bratton and his family.
