Two Accidents on Highway 174 yesterday

Two accidents occurred within 300 feet of each other on Highway 174 yesterday but the CHP says the two incidents were not related.  The first crash was at 4:45 p.m. when a 66 year old Colfax man driving a Subaru  turned left into the path of an Audi driven by a  40 year old man on Highway 174 at Maple Way.   Traffic was slowed for a time as the accident was investigated and cleared.  The CHP says  neither driver required medical attention.   The second accident occurred 300 feet north of Maple Way on Highway 174 at 5:45 p.m.   The CHP reports a woman driving a Toyota Tundra stopped for traffic and a man driving a Chevy Sprint   rear ended  the  Toyota  pickup. The driver of the Chevy apparently was not paying attention.  No injries were reported to either driver.
