Two Agencies Assist Stranded Vehicle

Two emergency services groups banded together to prevent a potential disaster. CHP Public Information Officer Greg Tassone says a report of a disabled vehicle had the CHP and US Forest Service coming to the aid of a driver and his wife. Officer Tassone says the driver of a pickup towing a thirty foot travel trailer suffered a major mechanical failure in a dangerous, curving area on Highway 20 near the White Cloud Campground. Officer Tassone says the vehicles were stuck in the middle of the road.

It would have been a considerable amount of time before a tow truck could have responded to the location. Officer Tassone says having a good working relationship between agencies is a benefit to the public.
