Royal says when the clerk asked for payment the suspect patted himself as if trying to find his wallet but, instead, he pulled out a handgun, pointed it at the clerk and demanded that the register be opened. He then told the clerk to lie on the floor. He removed the money from the register, fled the store, and drove away. The clerk was unable to provide a good vehicle description…

Meanwhile, Royal says the Cedar Ridge Market was also hit by an armed robber Friday night. But he says there’s no evidence indicating they’re linked because the descriptions of the suspects in both incidents are different.
