Two Arrested In Thefts From GV Church and Business

A response to a trespassing complaint has led to the arrests of two people in connection with a large number of items stolen from a Grass Valley church and a local business. Nevada County Sheriff’s Lieutenant Steve Tripp says deputies went to a transient camp located in an area off Rough and Ready Highway referred to as “Hell’s Half Acre”…

Tripp says 44-year-old Robbin Martin was arrested at the camp on charges of receiving known stolen property. And then they later found the man they believed stole the items, 22-year-old Michael Martin…

The recovered stolen property included beekeeping and gardening equipment, a wheel barrel, fencing material, a bolt-cutter, and other miscellaneous tools. Also…trash receptacles, tarps, propane tanks, and miscellaneous ropes and straps. Tripp says the suspects are not related.
