Two Arrested on Drug and Burglary Charges

A male and female suspect were arrested on a number of charges including drugs and burglary. Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says that the suspects were confronted on Greenhorn Road  Tuesday morning at 11:30 AM when officer believed they had just witnessed a drug transaction between two vehicles.

The subjects had warrants for their arrests one in Sacramento County the other in Yuba County. The officers also noticed a number of items in the vehicle that raised suspicions.

Drugs were also located in the vehicle and the suspects were taken into custody. While in custody, the vehicle was searched more thoroughly and officers made another discovery.

While being booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional facility the female suspect, Angela Pineda was found to have two additional violations.

Both Pineda and Frankie Hughes were booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional Facility.
