Two Brothers Guilty Of First-Degree Murder

It’s guilty on all counts, according to the decision of the jury, for two brothers…Scott Hollingshead and Christopher Nix…in the beating and shooting death of a Nevada County man that happened nearly two years ago….

While District Attorney Cliff Newell is satisfied with how the trial turned out, he says it’s still a sad situation…

Newell had few details about a motive, other than the victim, Brian Spalding, had had some contact with Hollingshead’s wife.The maximum possible sentence for Hollingshead and Nix is life in prison without parole. Sentencing is scheduled for April 22nd.
