Two Cannabis Issues Before Nevada City Council

The applicant being recommended would be a business called ‘Elevation 2477’ and would be located at 569 Searls Avenue. The two other applicants are ‘Nevada County Wellness’, proposed at 590 Searls Avenue, and ‘Growing Community’, which would be at 440 Lower Grass Valley Road. The council is also expected to approve final ballot language for a cannabis tax on the dispensary, and other cannabis businesses…

The Council would be able to set the rates as long as they fall in that range. The measure would be on the June ballot next year. Public comment will be taken on both the dispensary selection and the cannabis tax ballot language. The City Council meeting is Wednesday night at 6:30.
