Two Drug Suspects May Be Linked To GV Burglaries

Two Grass Valley men face a number of drug charges and perhaps more charges related to other crimes in the area. CHP Officer Greg Tassone says 47-year-old Michael Weaver and 26-year-old Christian Davis were pulled over early Sunday near the junction of Highway 20 and southbound Highway 49 after leading officers on a brief high-speed pursuit. He says the men were initially suspected of vandalizing and possibly breaking into a vehicle on the shoulder of Highway 20 near Penn Valley that had been involved in an accident earlier in the evening. Tassone says a search of the vehicle revealed numerous items, including methamphetamine and heroin packaged for sale and a sawed-off rifle with a bayonet. Tassone says Weaver and Davis are also under investigation by Grass Valley Police related to some area burglaries…

Weaver and Davis have not been charged with any burglary incidents so far.
