Two females, one nineteen and one seventeen, ended up going to jail following a confrontation at a third female’s residence. According to Nevada County Sheriff Captain Jeff Pettitt, the seventeen year old had apparently had a falling out with the girl at the residence and was returning along with 19 year old Chelsea Sutton, to pick up some personal belongings.

The two suspects located a keyring in the vehicle which had a key to the house on it and they used to enter the residence. The victim yelled at the suspects to get out of the house so they returned to the vehicle.

Sutton and the seventeen year old then took several items and left the residence. Subsequently the two were contacted by Grass Valley Police in the Safeway Parking lot downtown. While talking to the police, sheriff deputies arrived and took both Chelsea Sutton and the seventeen year old into custody. Sutton was charged with burglary and willful cruelty to a minor as the victim was also only seventeen.
