Two Flaps Down- Dining Tent Restrictions Softened

As restaurants transition to outdoor dining and colder temperatures for the holiday season and into winter, many are implementing some sort of tenting to provide a protected eating area. Some restaurants had been setting them up with four sides down, others had three or less depending upon location and weather conditions. Yet, there were still some diehards using popups without siding. County Public Information Officer Taylor Wolfe says original restriction limited the number of sides that could be down.

In most cases the tenting is paired with large propane space heaters to keep dining areas relatively warm. As long as customers are prepared, outdoor dining can be quite enjoyable.
