Two Injured In Three-Vehicle Hwy 49 Crash

A major traffic backup, due to a three-vehicle accident on Highway 49, just south of La Barr Meadows Road late this (Tues.) morning. CHP officer Greg Tassone says the preliminary investigation indicates it was likely due to an innattentive driver in a southbound car, identified as 66-year-old Douglas Ingolsby of Nevada City, who was also in the same lane as a tow truck driver…

Ingolsby was last reported to be in “serious” condition, along with Dutra. The tow truck driver was not injured.  There were no other passengers in the vehicles, just the drivers. But two dogs were also involved, with one or both in the car that triggered the accident. They also were not injured.The northbound lanes were blocked for about 45 minutes.
