Two Men Face Trial In Shooting Of Nevada Co Youth

Two Sacramento area men are now facing trial for the alleged robbery attempt and shooting of a Nevada County youth that happened about a year ago. That’s the ruling from the judge in the case, after a preliminary hearing concluded last week. Walsh says during the incident, one of the men fired off a round, hitting Connor Upton in the head, who was 18 at the time. He has recovered from his wounds. West and Thurman were originally arrested for attempted murder by Grass Valley Police. But Walsh says that charge never ended up being filed…

Both suspects are charged with robbery and shooting at an occupied vehicle, but only West was armed. West is also charged with personal use of a firearm while committing a felony, which makes him eligible for a 25 year to life prison sentence. He’s also charged with causing great bodily injury.
