Unemployment Rate Drops Significantly

After stagnant numbers this summer, Nevada County’s unemployment rate took a more significant drop in September. The rate dropped three-quarters of a point, to 4%. Grant says even though a lot of people in Nevada County have jobs, here or elsewhere, the local labor pool is still adequate enough to fill openings. The county has the 13th lowest unemployment rate in California, compared to 14th in August.
