Unfortunate Accelerations Lead to Accidents at Grass Valley CVS

An unfortunate series of events created a somewhat chaotic scenario involving multiple vehicles and a building in the Brunswick Basin late Thursday afternoon. Grass Valley Police and a number of other resources responded to a the CVS store on Sutton Way after a Cadillac literally ended up in the front of the store. Lt Steve Johnson says the vehicle was driven by a 92 year old man and his wife was a passenger.

The Cadillac also struck a large lighting pole. At that point the driver put the Cadillac in Drive again.

Fortunately no one was injured during any of the collisions.

A building inspector was called to evaluate the CVS structure and the support pole was stabilized.
Alcohol and drugs were not a factor in the accident and the CVS store did not need to close during the cleanup.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.

It had nothing to do with the drivers age... I'm sure.
