Unhappy Birthday Surprise

A Penn Valley man got a birthday present he never expected.  Nevada County Sheriff Keith Royal says several under cover officers were at the Penn Valley Rodeo over the weekend when they noticed a possible drug transaction.  Sheriff Royal says an Alcohol Beverage Control agent went over and talk with 31 year old Todd Hughes of Penn Valley after witnessing suspicious activity.

Hughes was taken into custody for suspicion of sales of marijuana. Hughes was booked into the Wayne Brown Correctional facility  of his thirty-first birthday.
