Union and Food Bank Food Drive Friday

With school out in about a month, the Food Bank of Nevada County is holding a Food Drive for its Summer Lunch Program on Friday. It’s in coordination with the Union newspaper. Union Event Organizer, Deana Graydon, says it’s still be a drive-through format, in their parking lot…

Graydon says they’re looking for such things as granola bars, applesauce pouches, crackers, fruit snacks, juice boxes, as well as peanut butter and jelly, among other items…

Graydon says the expanded number is due to adding the Penn Valley area to the Food Drive. Monetary donations are also welcome. That’s from 9am to 1pm on Friday in the Union parking lot, at 464 Sutton Way.
