The United Way of Nevada County will soon be looking for a new leader. Executive Director Megan Timpany says she is ready to step aside after 13 years at the helm of the organization.
Timpany says she is also looking to spend more time with her husband and family.
She is very proud of the work United Way has accomplished while she has been here- she is very fond of the Grills and Grills event.
Food acces Saturday and High School Food Pantrys are also high on her list of accomplishments.
She is pleased with the direction the organization is headed.
Timpany is not leaving the community, but does plan to travel when COVID restrictions lift. She also plans to volunteer with United Way to help with events- but she won’t be tied down on a daily basis.
