United Way of Nevada County is combining two great events, the annual BBQ Battle and Foreign Car Show into one big event…the Foreign Car Show & BBQ Battle! We are currently looking for teams to compete and share their grilling expertise with the public. So, if you have a recipe to share and enjoy grilling, this is the place for you to be on Saturday, August 16th!

The BBQ teams will be competing for the title of “Best Griller in Nevada County” and cash prizes. There will be two judging categories; one decided by the populace and the other will be decided by a small group of “Critic’s Choice” judges. There will also be an award given out to the team with the most spirit. There are gift certificates and sponsorships available to help BBQ teams offset the costs.

This year’s BBQ Battle will be held Saturday, August 16th. Come join us at beautiful Western Gateway Park in Penn Valley for some fun and good food. All proceeds from this event will go into United Way of Nevada County’s Community Impact Fund.
