United Way Socks and Glove Drive Goes Well

This year’s holiday season drive by United Way of Nevada County to keep those in need warm has been called a great success by Executive Director Megan Timpany. She estimates that around 400 pairs of socks and approximately 250 pairs of gloves were donated. And there were more places and businesses participating in the drive, or 15 this year…

Timpany says distributions are going on throughout the week at the various service agencies for the needy. That includes during Divine Spark’s annual Christmas meal event on Friday at the Grass Valley Veterans Hall. United Way says it envisions a community where all individuals and families achieve their desired potential through healthy lives, education, and income stability.
