Unusual Crash on 174 During Rain

A rather unusual accident occurred during the heavy downpour yesterday afternoon. CHP Officer Justin Barnthouse says it was on Hwy 174.

One of the vehicles a 1998 Jaguar heading northbound and stopped to make a left hand turn on Bartlett Drive . The other vehicle, a black Toyota Tacoma was coming up behind and he tried to hit his brakes and swerved to the right when he saw the vehicle was stopped.

There were actually no injuries, but there was extensive property damaged. At least each driver got out ok.
