Up a Tree…

Fire fighters are still wondering why a man was forty feet up a tree in the middle of the night. Consolidated Fire Captain Jim Smith says fire fighters were called to a report of a man in a tree in the middle of a swamp, early Monday morning. Captain Smith says it took some time to locate the man up in the tree. The man reportedly said he was running from an animal that was chasing him.

Initially, the man said he was not able to climb down the tree because his arms were wedged. The Captain said after fire fighters saw him use both arms he was instructed to climb down on his own. The man was taken to a area hospital for treatment and observation.
