With Halloween falling on a Saturday this year, law enforcement expects an increase in trick-or-treaters as well as adult celebrants. Johnson says drivers should also turn on headlights to make themselves more visibile, even if it’s not dark yet, and go at least 5 miles an hour below the posted speed limit, to allow extra time to react to children who may dart into the street.
