Health care workers and first responders would be the first to receive a shot, and a vaccine won’t likely be available to the public until April, the latest estimate from health officials. And Californians who face the worst of COVID-19 would be prioritized. That includes those who might have underlying medical conditions. Meanwhile, Dignity Health, which owns Sierra Nevada Memorial, says they’re in active preparation to get vaccines to their members, once they become available. In a statement, the healthcare provider says it has, quote, “well-established protocols in place to receive, store, and administer vaccinations”.
