Vandal Hits East Main Street

Several Grass Valley businesses reported thousands of dollars in vandalism damage, Sunday morning. Grass Valley Police Sergeant Joe Matteoni says a total of seven businesses were vandalized by the same suspect. The Sergeant says all the businesses were located on East Main Street . A video surveillance captured the suspect committing the vandalism.

Grass Valley officers recognized 24 year old David Bledsoe of Grass Valley as the suspect in the video. Officers were able to locate Bledsoe and take him into custody.

In another incident, the Grass Valley Police are searching for a robbery suspect. Sergeant Matteoni says two women reported they were sitting in their car behind the Police Department Friday night. The women said a man jerked open the door to the car and demanded money.

The suspect is described as man with a black hoodie sweatshirt, a red baseball cap, a blond goatee, and a finger brace on his left hand. The suspected escaped with a undisclosed amount of money. Anyone with information is asked to call the GVPD.
