Vegetation Fires Contained In Penn Valley Area

Modest vegetation fires in the Penn Valley area were fully contained about 2 hours after they began during the noon hour today. That was on China Court. Several air attack units were deployed, according to Mary Eldridge, the Public Information Officer with Cal Fire’s Nevada-Yuba-Placer Unit..

Which means a tree may have fallen on power lines.  After final mapping, the total acreage from both fires was around 13 acres. A few homes were initially threatened, but not damaged.
