Colfax Evacuated From Growing Wildfire

A vegetation fire has scorched at least 1000 acres that started near the Bear River Campground. And that’s now meant the evacuation of the town of two-thousand residents. There are also numerous road closures. Highway 174 is closed at Orchard Springs Road. Evacuees can go to the Auburn Veterans Memorial Hall, at 100 East Street. Bear River High School also has an evacuation staging area set up. The Nevada County Fairgrounds has also announced that’s it’s accepting large animals.
