Broken Power Pole Knocks Out Power

A broken power pole on Mooney Flat Rd down near Lake Englebright knocked power out for 3400 customers just before 11:30 AM. P G and E Spokesperson Janna Morris says most of the customers were back on line by 2:45.

According to a CHP source, the top of the pole broke off and swung across the road downing power lines in the process. Mooney Flat Road was closed while power lines were moved. The 16 customers without power are mainly along Marina Road and Mooney Flat Rd close to the lake.
