Vehicle Potentially Starts Multiple Fires on Highway 80

A vehicle may be the cause of multiple fires on Highway 80 starting at Weimar and heading eastbound.  CALFIRE Communications Operator Marc Zayas says it is not confirmed that a vehicle was involved, but there have been reports.

Eastbound 80 closed between Auburn and Colfax.
Units are on scene. Several structures are threatened.
Mandatory evacuations: Pinecone Peak, Hummingbird Hill, Highview. Evacuation center will be at the Colfax Community Center.
