Vehicle Stop Leads to Drug and Forgery Charges

Two local people are under arrest after police stopped their car. Grass Valley Police Captain Rex Marks says officers were on a increase of patrol after people reported possible drug activity on Sunday afternoon on Buena Vista Drive. The Captain says Officers stopped a car with 18 year old Kyle Short of Nevada City and 27 year old Jessica Schenck of Grass Valley. Officer found suspected meth amphetamine in the car. In addition to the drug possession charges Schenck is also facing forgery charges.

Schenck was charged with receiving stolen property and forgery . The prescriptions had been stolen from a doctor’s office.
