Vehicle Violation Leads to Arrest

A reserve sheriff’s deputy on patrol Saturday December 22, spotted a vehicle with a lighting violation on southbound 49 near North Bloomfield Rd.
While talking with the driver, Jay Beaver, the deputy discovered that he was in possession of an illegal weapon.

Sergeant Bob Jakobs explains that Beaver was asked to get out of the vehicle, and further discussion uncovered additional contraband.

Beaver was able to produce a valid medical marijuana card, but was still taken into custody for possession of the illeagal weapon.
