Veterans Program Features Women Who Serve

As is tradition in Grass Valley, a large crowd is expected at the Veterans Building Saturday morning for the annual Veterans Day program. Service members from all branches of the armed forces will be honored in a program that will take about an hour. Retired Navy Captain Cap Wallington will be leading the service, and says there’s a something a little different this time…

The program will finish with a three-volley 21-gun salute at precisely 11am, and the singing of Amazing Grace and the playing of Taps. The program starts at 10, but Wallington says if you are planning to attend, you should get there between 9:15 to 9:30 to avoid parking problems and to get a good seat.
