Vets Group Holds Bike Run and Barbecue

It’s a celebration of local veterans and their families, and a fundraiser for a Nevada County veterans organization. The seventh annual Bike Run and Barbecue is tomorrow (Saturday). Welcome Home Vets Executive Director Julie Carrara says over 200 motorcyclists will leave Auburn at 10am, and will end up at Western Gateway Park in Penn Valley around noon. Lunch is served after the ceremony until about 2:30. There is also music, along with games and raffle prizes. It’s Welcome Home Vets’ biggest fundraiser of the year.
