Nevada City Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Cathy Whittlesey says Victorian Christmas has been a 36 year tradition where the aroma of roasted chestnuts and hearty holiday foods fills the air, along with the cries of street vendors hawking their wares on the lamp lit streets.

The Victorian Christmas draws huge crowds on all days of the event. Broad and Commercial Streets are closed to through traffic and people are encouraged to drop their group off in town and then park at the Rood Center and catch the Shuttle to Broad Street.
Shuttle costs $5 for adults and children 15 and over. Children under 15 ride free.
Return journeys are free for all.
Shuttle hours are 4:30-9:30 p.m. Wednesdays and noon-6:30 p.m. Sundays.
