Victorian Christmas opened Sunday with a holiday flair typical for Nevada City. It was the first time the holiday event opened on a Sunday… so the crowd was a bit smaller than usual, but it was a festive group. Father Christmas was on the streets spreading cheer and good will.
Mrs Claus was enjoying the festivities of the day.
A young couple had with their one-year-old daughter was just getting started at the Christmas tree at Robinson Plaza.
Eddie was listening to children’s wishes as they sat outside a miniature version of the Big House he lives in on Banner Mountain.
The weather held and spirits were high as locals and visitors strolled through stores, booths, and the food court enjoying the first day of Victorian Christmas. The next Victorian Christmas is Wednesday evening.
