Viking Fair at the Nevada County Fairgrounds Saturday

If you’re not quite ready for Halloween, and If you like Scandinavian culture, you can check out the annual Viking Fair at the Nevada County Fairgrounds tomorrow. The Sons of Norway Gulldalen Lodge is putting on the event at Ponderosa Hall. Arline Kinney, is one of the organizers.

Max Fenson is also helping in putting the event together. He says you’ll likely recognize the ‘Viking Baten’ parked near the gate.

Crafts include rosemaling and woodworking. There will be all kinds of food including lefse, which Kinney will demonstrate, as well as meatballs, open-faced sandwiches, and cookies. The Viking Fair is tomorrow from 10am to 3pm. Tickets are two dollars for adults, one dollar for kids 6-12, and children under six are free. There is free parking.
