Vintage Electric Car Shown At Gilmore Event

At a celebration of Lyman Gilmore’s first flight, students learned about aircraft, flight and sources of energy. Joe Browning was demonstrating his unique completely electric car. Browning says his car was a production car not made from a kit. The car will reach a maximum speed of 65 miles per hour and has a range of 40 miles. Browning said the paint job on the car was done at the factory.

Gilmore-Fly-Over-001Browning was at Lyman Gilmore School to help the assembled students learn about engineering and alternative energy. Browning said it costs him fifty cents to charge the car at a standard home electrical outlet.
