Supervisors to Hold Virtual Public Hearing

This will be the first test of a controversial item heard by local government since meetings went virtual. The Nevada County Board of Supervisors will be discussing amending their Outdoor Events Ordinance at their meeting tomorrow. The Community Development Agency issues permits, while the Sheriff’s Department’s actions would be more punitive. Because the meeting is not being done on site, there’s no way to do public comment in person, but Foss says they’ve developed four ways for the public to take part, with a couple of them in real time…

The phone number is 264-0554. You can also post an e-comment on mynevada county dot-com next to where you would find the agenda, and there’s also an e-mail address there. The fourth way is by writing a letter, but it’s a little late to do that now. The public hearing will take place at 1:30pm tomorrow.
