Vote By Mail Ballots Facing Slight Delay

If you are waiting for your ballot so you can vote by mail in the upcoming election, you’ll have to wait just a little bit longer….

Assistant Clerk-Recorder Sandy Sjoberg says the printer was supposed to get them in the mail last week, but couldn’t get all the scanning done until yesterday (Monday). Once all the ballots are verified, which is expected to be done today, they will be sent by truck from Santa Ana to West Sacramento, where they will be mailed out from there. She says with June 7 rapidly approaching, they still need poll workers. There’s one whole precinct in Truckee that hasn’t been assigned yet, and they can still use some people locally…
