Wanted Car Thief Caught Riding In Another Stolen Vehicle

A wanted car thief was  spotted riding  in a stolen car Sunday afternoon. Grass Valley Police Sergeant Joe Matteoni says a broadcast of a stolen red Mustang had officers on alert. Matteoni says an officer saw the stolen car driven by 25 year old Evette Valenzuela with 30 year old Nathan Gilbert as a passenger.  Grass Valley officers took both subjects into custody for the stolen car.

Gilbert,-NathanGilbert was also wanted for taking a pickup last week on Auburn Road and evading  law enforcement during an area search. Gilbert was arrested for suspicion of two stolen vehicles and violation of parole. Valenzuela was taken into custody for one stolen car, driving without a license, and providing false identification by using another family member’s name.

Great work GVPD!!!!!!! My only hope is that some lame judge and shyster lawyer don't send them back to the streets. They could pick on the wrong victim next time and might not be a happy ending but would save the tax payers a lot of money.
