Was That A Tornado In South County?

Jill Curtis lives off of East Lime Kiln Road, and says she doesn’t know if it was a tornado or what, but the roof of the barn was just ripped off…

This happened around 2:30 this afternoon (Wednesday).  There were no clouds, and no rain. If you don’t believe her, she has pictures of the damage, and says she wouldn’t have believed it either if she hadn’t seen it with her own eyes…

KNCO contacted the National Weather Service. Meteorologists there said there’s no record of a major wind event, but are very interested in Curtis’ story. One forecaster said it’s possible that it could be what they call a gradiant wind that did the damage.
