Waste Management Embezzlement Suspect Arraigned

A former employee of Waste Management has been re-arraigned on felony embezzlement and other related charges. That’s after a recent ruling from a Nevada County judge that there’s enough evidence to try Randal Gassaway, following a preliminary hearing last month. Phillips says Gassaway had been falsifying invoices for redeemed recyclables for about two years at the McCourtney Road transfer station…

And Phillips says Gassaway was also reportedly caught on surveillance video creating the phony invoices, with no customer present. He says a trial will not likely start until December or January, due to the unusually heavy felony caseload on the judge’s court calendar this year.
