Water Storage For NID Still Looking Strong

The stormiest winter in recent years was also a major factor. Meanwhile, Close says NID’s water conservation rate for August was 17%. He says although it was 35% a year ago, that was when the state’s mandatory restrictions were still in place. He says more people are realizing that they can keep their lawns green on much less water than they originally thought, even with just voluntary restrictions…

But Close says unlike a year ago, he hasn’t heard about any strong long-range winter forecasts for above-average precipitation.
